Lakeside Erosion Control

Lakes Huron - Michigan water levels are the highest since back in 1986. Many property owners have lost a substantial amount of beach and frontage in the past 3 years.

We can help stop erosion with the use of limestone boulders, known as Rip Rap in the quarry industry. Utilizing our dump trucks, backhoes and tractors, we can prep your site and strategically place boulders atop of a heavy blanket-type erosion fabric. Typically, we are in and out within about 3 days.

Rock Revetment

Rock Revetment is a way of absorbing the energy coming from incoming waves and water, preventing and reducing the damages of coastal erosion. Revetments are sloping structures comprised of various layers of large stone and geo-textiles placed on banks and shorelines.

On the Great Lakes, rock revetments are the main form of erosion protection that we will install; it really is the only long-term solution. Compared to seawalls, rock revetment provides a better alternative to protecting beaches, homes, and other structures along the shorelines.
